Uranus in Aries: Brave New World!
After a brief stint during the summer of 2010, Uranus is finally entering Aries for good! On March 11, 2011, Uranus is officially making its debut in the sign of the Ram where it will remain for 7 years until May of 2018.
Uranus and Aries: Key Concepts
Uranus is known as an unpredictable and disruptive planet who surprises you when you least expect. Some epithets associated with Uranus are the mover, shaker, the maverick, the rebel.
His goal is to change for better, to innovate and to radicalize whatever his comes in contact. Right now!
Uranus’ mission is progress for the collective, the masses, and humanity in general. Uranus does not recognize the value and nature of time and the importance of slow growth, and compromise. The vision of the future is set for the present moment at the cost of chaos and revolution if necessary.
On an individual level, when Uranus touches you, you are required to look at the area of your life affected by it with entirely new eyes and a wide-angle lens. You are asked make that area of your life more unconventional and eccentric, outside society’s usual norms and conventions.
Aries is courageous, bold, independent, and individualistic. This sign is known as a trailblazer, a pioneer, unafraid to go where even angels do not dare. Aries energy is one of movement, action, and initiative. Aries is always pushing forward to get things done, to make things happen. This sign is never happier then when it is dealing with “what’s next?”
As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries represents the seed that first breaks out of the ground, the first impulse. By extension, Aries relates to the self, the ego, our volition, our potential.
Uranus in Aries: What to expect!
If we combine both concepts, what do we get? What can we expect for the 7 years that Uranus will be transiting Aries?
For the duration of its journey in Aries, Uranus will act as a catalyst, a wake-up call for the need to assert oneself, to become more self-reliant and independent.
Whatever the area of your chart it will touch, Uranus will want you to become less dependent and less motivated by society’s impositions and more driven by your authentic wants and needs. Those are not superficial wants and needs instead they will be intimately connected to the self and its instinctual drive for what really makes us passionate and driven. It is from this place that Uranus will guide us to formulate our goals and use the Aries energy to go after them.
However, there is a caveat. If you think you know what are the needs and wants you wish to pursue, be prepared for a big surprise. There is a good chance that you will discover totally new, surprising goals and directions for your life. One’s you had never thought of.
Remember Uranus rules the unexpected, the totally out of the blue circumstances, the “I would never have thought in a million years it would be like this… I would be capable of this….or I would want THIS!”
A good rule to deal with this Uranus in Aries transit is to expect the unexpected, to understand that the opportunities will come from out of the blue, the least likely places or people.
Outside the box will be the modus operandi.
For everything: Solutions, Methods, Opportunities.
What are your thoughts? Where does Uranus in Aries falls in your chart? What are your expectations for this transit?
